A cool twilight was creeping over the tower trees as the world seemed to hold its breath. The path winding around called Route One by the humans was deeply imprinted with footprints of every size and species. This wasnt the first adventure to start here, nor was it the last. Everything seemed to be at peace here when all of a sudden a bright orange torchic fluttered down the pass.

He was chased after by a girl in a simple olive green tartened skirt, white pressed blouse. Her long brown hair streaking behind her, revealing olive green contact lens and hlaf of a face mask. Her name was Morgan Mask, last surviving daughter of the Mask Family. And at this moment, instead of feeling awe she felt frustration!

"Ember!" she shouted. "I need that letter! Please!"

Ember turned to look over his shoulder, a letter firmly in his small beak. He stopped when she said please, but only for a second before running off again.

Morgan Mask set her mouth into a grim line, ran faster and scooped Ember up into her arms. "Gotcha!" she smiled and Ember chirped loudly, dropping the letter. She bent down and lifted it from the ground. "Fine, we can read it together...." she sighed and nestled down beneath a tree. "This was the first one;;" Morgan began to read quietly.

Dear Little Sis,
If you hadn't already realized this yet its been one year since I have left, and I feel terrible about it. Its your day today though, the day you are going to pick your Pokemon. I know you love the Shinx but at the same time the Torchic! I hope you pick well, I know you will! Good luck!

Sincerely,
Melody

Torchic snuggled down in Morgan's chest, she looked down for the heat he was giving off scared her a little. He was really warm, Melody didnt like Fire Pokemon, thats why she settled with Chikorita! Her sister had been so rebellious, so courageous, so out of control and yet everything she did was out of the good of others and her own heart. Morgan couldnt help but die a little on the inside thinking of that fact that she could have been with her the night she died.

"Torchic! Torchic!" Torchic chirped after she didnt read the next note.

"Sorry!" she grumbled, unfolding and uncrinkling the next letter. "I will get right on that;;" and so she began to read the second letter.

Dear Little Sis,
You made a good choice with Torchic, I hope he teaches you to love yourself just a little bit more. Right now you have started the journey I did two years ago. I swept the Serre Region off its feet in a matter of months. But you... I dont know about you--

"Ugh!" Morgan crumbled up the letter, it was a slap in the face to her. Her sister was telling her that this was going to be hard. "No duh, of course its hard! All of this is!" she shouted at no one.

The pokemon was startled by his trainers outburst, flying off of her and pecked at the letter she had crumbled. "Torchic!" Ember plucked it from the ground and gave it back to Morgan.

She sighed when Ember stared at her as if saying 'I wanna know what else there is!' Morgan uncrumbled the letter for the second time as Ember jumped into her lamp. Nestling down again listening to Morgan's voice.

--you are different. The path of a fire lover is different then one like mine, a plant lover. Grass pokemon are easy, I admit that, but they are not destructive like fire. Your pokeon must tame its control and reel in its passion. Morgan, you might want to as well. Especially if you plan on becoming a pokemon ranger. I know you will succeed!

Sincerely,
Melody

Morgan sighed, she hated herself, really hated herself. Her outbursts were common and eratic, if Melody saw her she would wag a finger and 'tsk tsk' Morgan. I hate it when youre right! she thought.

When I Try Desperately,
I Fail Perfectly.
I Enjoy Walking In The Rain Even If I Must Gett Wet,
It Hides All The Tears I Shed.
My Heart Is Strong Enough To Take Every Blow,
Especially When Others Cannot.
I Hate The Empty Silence,
Even Though It Comforts Me In The Darkest Hour I Face.
I Want To Be A Wind That Gives All I Could Never Recieve,
In This LifeTime.
Fly,
I just Jump and Miss.
